Zach Walls (of S.B.i) gets jumped
Zach Walls (Far Left), Pranksta of The Diligentz (Left), Aka1Frank of The Diligentz (Right). and Frankie (Far Right) of SBi. |
Zach Walls: Thank you, Surrounded by I.D.I.O.T.T.S. (Individuals Developing Imperative Opportunities Through Talent) we're just a group of friends doing what we love. Grinding it out and trying to take this music shit to another level.
TGL: Can you tell us who is in SBI?
ZW: SBi is me, Damey (1/4 of The Diligentz), DBrock, Haji, Lil Tio, Big rube, Jay Tee, Franky, Lambo, and Ziggy. We have a lot of other people that are pretty much family that we are consistently working with such as FNF (Pranksta 1/4 of The Diligentz and Squadboiz), M.O.B. (Jay Roc and Young Bari) GETITBACKFAM (Jay Ant and Aka Frank)
TGL: Can you tell us how you first started getting into music?
ZW: Shit from the time I was 6 or 7 my mom forced me to play instruments such as the piano, guitar, drums, saxophone, and violin. I come from a very musically talented family, my uncle is the lead guitarist of a huge southern rock group called 38 Special, my great grandma was also a piano teacher and she passed down the skills through the family. I really have been surrounded by music my whole life. I started writing my own songs around the time I was 12 or even younger
TGL: Are there any obstacles you had to overcome in order to be where you are today?
ZW: I can't say obstacles but its just been a lot of hard work and trial and error trying to make everything to the best of our ability for our fans to enjoy
TGL: Tell us about the future of SBI and what you have planned for it.
ZW: You probably know as much as I do but expect nothing but quality music, quality visuals, and for our team to keep taking the steps it takes to take this music shit to a whole nother level
TGL: How do you feel about the Bay and the moves it is making the music industry and how you are involved in it.
ZW: As of right now the Bay Area movement is on fire but still hasn't reached its full potential, but honestly I think the Bay needs a lot more younger talent if we want to continue to be on the map as a threat. I haven't seen much I'm impressed with the younger high school age artists so we will see who will step up and make shit happen. As for me I'm just another kid trying to do my thing
TGL: Tell us about any upcoming shows we can promote for you on the blog and any upcoming music videos and tracks you'll be releasing. Also send me a song you have 100% finished so I can put it in the interview for you.
ZW: We're dropping high quality music videos left and right now so just stay posted on that. Watch out for Damey's new tape coming out called #New Bridge. I'm just getting on a lot of features. I'm not to worried about myself dropping too much new music instead I'm just doing everything I can do in order to make my team successful. Here's a link to my video ACool. Also check out Damey's Cali Breeze and his new video Tru Story
